Lloyd Mack Jr. started racing go-karts at age seven and experienced immediate success, winning over 100 races at the beginning of his career. By 1998, Mack had won two national karting championships, a World Karting Association championship and five California state championships.
In 2000 and 2001, Mack raced Super Late Models at Irwindale (Calif.) Speedway, recording one win, eight top fives and 17 top 10s in 22 starts. The following year, Mack started six Modified races at Irwindale, finishing in the top five in all six. In 2003, Mack took a different direction in his career, testing Indy Racing League cars for Sam Schmidt Motorsports.
Mack returned to Modifieds in 2005 and won two races at Irwindale Speedway. He finished in the top 10 in four of the five races he started. He also won two races in 2006 in the King Taco Super Truck Division. |
